INGREDIENTS :

250gms Bhindi (Lady's Finger/Okra), Chopped 1 inch long
1 ½ Cups Coconut Milk
2 tbsp Besan (Gram flour)
2 tbsp Oil
Oil for deep-frying
Salt to taste

For the Masala :

1 Big Onion, Sliced
3 pods Garlic
1 inch Ginger piece
½ Cup Coriander Leaves, Chopped
3 - 4 Green Chilies
2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 tsp Khus Khus (Poppy Seeds)
1 tbsp Cashew nut pieces

METHOD :

Bhindi In Coconut MilkHeat Oil in a frying pan and deep fry the Bhindi. Remove on a paper towel and keep aside.

Grind all the ingredients for the Masala to a paste. Mix Gram flour and ½ cup Coconut milk to a paste. Heat 2 tbsp Oil and add the Masala and stir-fry till the moisture evaporates. Add the Gram flour and Coconut mixture and stir. Now add 1 Cup Coconut Milk and mix well. Add the fried Bhindi and Salt. Mix well.

Remove to a serving bowl and serve hot with Rice or Indian Bread.
