INGREDIENTS :
½ Kg Cucumber
½ tsp Salt
1 tsp Tamarind Pulp
½ tsp Oil
½ tsp Turmeric powder
1 tbsp Coriander leaves
For the Seasoning :
½ tsp Urad Dal (Black Gram split)
½ tsp Mustard Seeds
2 - 3 Red Chilies
¼ tsp Fenugreek Seeds
3 Green Chilies
A pinch of Asafoetida
METHOD :
Peel and finely chop the Cucumber. Mix the chopped Cucumber, Turmeric Powder and Salt in a bowl. Set aside for 15 mts, and then squeeze out the excess water. Heat Oil and fry seasoning ingredients. Grind the fried ingredients along with the tamarind till a fine paste is obtained. Mix the paste and the chopped Cucumber.
Serve the chutney garnished with chopped Coriander leaves.
