Taking a fashion audience by surprise, a model today presented a creation by young designer Rohit Mittal with a picture of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on her dress at a fashion show. The highlight of Mittal''s collection was a short-length checkered dress which bore the image of Singh wearing his trademark blue turban at the Wills India Fashion Week here.

"Manmohan Singh is our leader at the present momentand he inspires me as a man of action and not words. People relate to him today, so I had his face on one of my outfits," said Mittal.

"He is an icon in himself and every citizen of India, including my wife admires him a lot. That is how the idea came to me," Mittal added.

The collection named ''My Wife''s Imagination'' had other images of Lord Ganesha and King Vikramaditya and Betaal. "The collection is totally based on what my wife likes and I have tried to represent the ideas of a modern woman through her imagination," Mittal said, adding that the image of Singh drew a good response from the audience.

"The collection, especially the dress with Singh''s image has drawn a positive response. Everybody loved it," Mittal said.
