This is a very subjective matter. Everyone has different opinions when it comes to the question of going back to your partner. The reason for a break-up differs from person to person, so it majorly depends on what is the reason that you broken up with your guy or girl.

Is it the conflict zone or just casual split? If it's the former (like the relationship has been very nasty in the past), going back to the same person will lead to same problem of breaking up but if it was a mutual understanding divide then one can think of going back to his/her partner.
