tv_4001.       Turn on the TV and let them see the cartoons and shows they like. Many parents feel that watching TV is useless but it has been proved that it’s not so as it increases concentration and even lets them learn new things.

2.       Someone always has to clean up (and it's not always going to be mum!). Imitating games are a way that your children can learn a lot like value of money, responsibility, safety issues and caring for others, as well as having a great time ofcourse!

3.       Let them browse the web. It gives them the chance to explore the whole world and will even help them get proficiency in computers.

4.       Let them run their imagination through colours, shapes, patters by letting them draw. Stock up on workbooks and coloring books, along with crayons, markers, stencils, etc. and plenty of plain paper.

5.       Create an activity ’station’ where the kids can go to make a mess whenever they want. It opens up their imagination and creativity.

6.        Help them to develop their skills by making them join different classes like dancing, singing, painting, aerobics, karate yoga and many more.

7.       Use a Chore Chart - give the kids some structure and responsibility during the day.

origami8.       Make it easy for your kids to be independent - set up an area for them to do their own thing, and keep it well stocked with projects and games. Make it sure they clean up the area on their own.

14.   Rotate toys - kids get bored quickly, so once or twice a month, hide the old and bring in the new!

15.   Try to enroll them for some or the other sports like horse- riding, chess or getting them into the cricket, football or basketball team. Sports help them physically and also helps to grows sportsmanship in them.

18.   Let your ward go shopping on his own. Don’t take me wrong. It means let them bring some things from the shops close by as it helps to grow a sense of responsibility in them and also teach them a few lessons of mathematics.

19.   Teach them to “Trim and water plants”. Kids will love being gardeners for a day. Show them how to use small clippers to trim bushes and snip off dead leaves and flowers. Have them put on bathing suits and use a hose or watering cans to water the garden.

20.   Let your kids dress up the way they want and as many times they like as it will keep them engaged and occupied. It will also help them try get trendier and get versatile.
