Ice herb and berry tea can be used to bring the body temperature down. Peppermint, lemon, balm and lavender are amongst the top choices to keep the cool. Cooling herbs like cardamom and fennel help to balance the heat in our bodies.”
“While we reach out to salads instinctively we can also help ourselves with sweet juicy fruits like pear, grapes, watermelon and mangoes which nourish and cleanse.
Fresh ginger, mint and basil add aroma to our food and also go easy on digestion, if we concentrate on them our skin will not suffer breakout. A glass of milk everyday is also very good to pacify the heat,” she stated with regard to eatables.
She added, “Eating dark green leafy vegetables like spinach can protect your skin against some of the sun damaging effects. Tomato, cucumber, watermelon juices also have cooling effects.”
