Things you''ll need: Baked white or yellow cake, Strawberry jam, Vanilla custard, Whipped cream, Fresh sliced strawberries

Step one: Prepare a sheet cake or angel food cake following the recipe on the box. Allow the cake to cool before slicing into small squares.

Step two: Make the vanilla custard while the cake is cooling.

Step three: Gather the remaining ingredients in a trifle bowl.

Step four: Layer the ingredients in the following order: cake squares, strawberry jam and vanilla custard. Repeat the process two more times and then spread the whipped cream on top. Can add blueberries too.

Step five: Sprinkle fresh sliced strawberries on the top of the trifle.

Step six: Refrigerate until time to serve the dessert.
