Acupuncture boosts chance of pregnancy
Women undergoing fertility treatment may boost their chances of conceiving by acupuncture therapy, according to a study published in the British Medical Journal.
The study found that women having acupuncture while undergoing IVF increase their chances of getting pregnant by 65 per cent, Britain’s Daily Mail reported.
Acupuncture affects the nervous system, which is involved in the control of muscles and glands. Scientists, however, warned that the pregnancy is relatively frequent.
In trials where pregnancy rates were already high, benefits of acupuncture were insignificant.
